Lex-Icon Blog Project Post 61: Cynthia Winika

From a poem by Anne Gorrick: Living on Karst…
(Click image above to see larger version)

“I used mushroom spore prints on 2 sheets of sandwiched mica, then waxed (encaustic medium) them into a piece of Fabriano paper cut with windows and accordion folded. The paper has been dipped in a bath of encaustic medium. The text is a poem by my friend/poet, Anne Gorrick: Living on Karst… containing the lines mushrooms and mushroom clouds. I'm interested in mycology, mushroom hunting, making art from mushrooms.”-- Cynthia Winika
